Who can submit
Talmyn accepts pitches from working professionals, subject-matter experts, journalists, and researchers with direct experience or clear expertise in the topic they are pitching. Opinion pieces should come from someone with a real stake in the subject.
How to pitch
Email a 2–3 sentence pitch and a writing sample to support@talmyn.com. Our editorial team responds within 5 business days: yes, no, or a requested revision to the pitch. Approved pitches get a deadline and a named section editor as point of contact.
Formatting requirements
- A suggested headline and one-sentence dek
- Subheads every 300–400 words
- All sources linked inline, not just listed at the end
- At least one original or specifically licensable image, with photo credit noted
- A 2–3 sentence author bio and a professional headshot
Disclosure requirements
- Any financial relationship with a company or person mentioned must be disclosed to the editor before publish.
- Sponsored or paid content is always labeled “Sponsored” or “Partner Content” — never blended into unpaid editorial.
- Contributors may not review or cover their own products, employers, or direct competitors without disclosure.
Common reasons a draft is rejected
- Unsourced or vague claims (“studies show,” “everyone knows”)
- Undisclosed promotional intent
- Off-brand tone — sensationalized headlines, predictions stated as fact
- Substantially similar to a piece published elsewhere without added original reporting or perspective
One editorial revision round is standard before publish.
